Press Release

The Presser Foundation is pleased to announce new Capital Support grants totaling $474,125 in single year and multi-year grants to 16 music organizations. Grant payments made in 2024 for previous commitments total $363,500. A full listing by category of the grantee organizations is below.

These grants are designated for capital projects of music presenting, music performing and music education organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Capital projects include the construction of new facilities, the renovation or expansion of existing facilities, and equipment, technology, hardware, and software needs of organizations as they create innovative, uplifting, and diverse music programming.

Corey R. Smith, Chair of the Capital Support Committee, commented on these grants, “As music organizations are seeking to connect with their audiences in new ways, the Capital Support grantmaking area received a number or proposals requesting support for Customer Relationship Management systems (CRMs) to engage both audience members and artists. Additionally, several applications from area music organizations and universities for needed building renovations illustrate that funding from The Presser Foundation provides essential resources greatly impacting music students, their teachers, and the broader community.”
