In 1990, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia (then Delaware Valley Grantmakers) was the first regional association to develop a Common Grant Application (CGA) form, which has since become a standard concept and practice among grantmakers and regional associations in the United States. The purpose of the CGA is to streamline the grantseeking process by allowing nonprofits to create one application that can be adapted for multiple funders.
Read these 5 TIPS on how to successfully identify and apply for grant funding.
The most recent evaluation of the Common Grant Application and companion Common Report Form was conducted in summer/fall of 2009, resulting in the release of an updated edition in January 2010. We thank the funders and nonprofits who participated in the review process and offered their valuable feedback to help develop the new and improved forms.

The 2010 forms posted above are the most current versions available. The list of funders who accept the CGA was most recently updated September 2012 (the list is included in the form document on page 12).
Applications must be sent directly to the organization(s) from which you are seeking funding and SHOULD NOT BE SENT TO PHILANTHROPY NETWORK. We do not make grants or match grantseekers with funding sources.
