for investing in early childhood, including analyses of five exemplar
programs; Implications of the latest brain research and return on investment estimates; and a list of key stakeholders and organizations that any donor interested in early childhood should know.
Disrupting Poverty: Coming Together to Build Financial Security for Individuals and Communities
(Written by FSG in partnership with the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, March 2014)
report highlights organizations working to alleviate poverty and
reverse troubling national trends, and features several examples of work
across the U.S. where leaders have engaged their communities and
partners in defining priorities, crossed traditional boundaries, and
made use of new connections across sectors.
Opening Up: Demystifying Funder Transparency
(Released by GrantCraft in collaboration with Glasspockets, February 2014)
This new guide provides practical advice for funders to publicly share various aspects of their operations, work, and knowledge. The publication presents real-world case studies that demonstrate the value of foundation transparency in strengthening credibility, improving grantee relationships, facilitating greater collaboration, increasing public trust, reducing duplication of effort, and building communities of shared learning.
