DAY 3 CONCURRENT SESSION | Disruption: How organizing is moving philanthropy’s goals

One of Philadelphia's broadest reaching and most vibrant community organizing projects is POWER. POWER is a multi racial, multi faith organizing force in the state of PA for racial and economic justice on a livable planet. POWER connects a grass roots base with points of public leverage to shape policy that works for people and the planet. As we approach urgent questions such as voting rights, education equity, and climate justice we need a more engaged population of people fighting for all of our communities. Join us to learn from POWER about their organizing and how it intersects with grantees and philanthropic goals around the state.

Speaker:

  • Bishop Dwayne Royster, Executive Director POWER
