Boards are no more diverse than they were twenty years ago. Current recruitment priorities indicate this is unlikely to change. (Board Source ‘Leading with Intent Report’ September 2017)

Having inclusive goals advocating for racial diversity is crucial for your board to combat the “dangerous deficit in understanding on issues of critical importance to the organization’s work” (Board Source Blog, ‘Let’s Stop (Just) Talking about Nonprofit Board Diversity’ September 2017).

This  seminar provides you the opportunity to assess your current board, discuss challenges, and set realistic goals to diversify its composition, while learning what steps to take to make space for all voices. Any board member or board chairs, Executive Directors, and/or Board Governance Committee members interested in championing diversity.
