Learn how to use data.census.gov to access the most current and relevant demographic, socioeconomic, and housing statistics about your community.

During this training, you will learn about the American Community Survey (ACS) and other Census Bureau programs, geographies, and datasets available. You will also learn how to use the search and navigation features in data.census.gov as well as how to download tables and create thematic maps. This training is recommended for all data users.

This workshop is presented by Noemi Mendez, a Data Dissemination Specialist at the United States Census Bureau.

Noemi Mendez is a Data Dissemination Specialist at the United States Census Bureau. Currently, she is responsible for public relations, outreach and training the public on how to access and use census data. She specializes in working with grant writers, businesses and educational institutions. Noemi is also an Instructional Designer for Census Academy, where she develops online courses for census data users.

Noemi serves as an advisor for the Temple University Professional Masters GIS program. She is also a Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University where she teaches courses in census data analysis and visualization
