Funders Unite to Launch Collaborative IMPACT Fund of Bucks County

Monday, April 15, 2024

Doylestown, PA (April 15, 2024) – Local grant makers BLBB Charitable, Bucks County Foundation (BCF), and Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) announce the launch of a new joint funding opportunity, Collaborative IMPACT Fund of Bucks County (IMPACT Bucks), offering eligible nonprofits serving Bucks County, Pa., the opportunity to apply for a $75,000 grant by May 17, 2024. This grant supports nonprofits that are committed to creating safe, healthy, and thriving communities by improving economic self-sufficiency and opportunity for socially and/or economically disadvantaged people.

IMPACT Bucks was launched by this coalition of funders to help nonprofits address key community issues and initiatives. Nonprofits whose Bucks County client population equals or exceeds more than 50% of their total client population are eligible to apply. Further, applicants must be exempt under Section 501(c)(3) and classified in Section 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. Proposed projects must directly support Bucks County.

“We are excited about the opportunity to build upon our existing grant programs with these community partners,” said Tobi Bruhn, FCP’s CEO. “Most importantly, the Bucks County community will benefit from this collaborative approach.” FCP (www.fcpartnership.org) supports the behavioral health and human service needs of children, young adults, and families in Bucks County.

The online application for IMPACT Bucks opens April 15 and can be accessed through BCF’s web site at www.buckscountyfoundation.org/receive. BCF’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for Bucks County residents by stimulating philanthropic opportunity and developing long-term financial assets to meet a wide range of the community’s charitable needs. “This grant opportunity embodies a model of collective philanthropy which allows for greater collaboration, resources, and strives to bring about significant change with lasting impact,” said Mandy Mundy, BCF’s Executive Director. While this collaborative grantmaking approach is new to all three organizations, the desire for the IMPACT Bucks program is to find like-minded private and public partners to increase the available funding each year to meet the community’s growing needs. “While social services for under-resourced individuals are readily-available in large cities, too often their suburban counterparts lack the same access. Working together, though, we can make an even bigger impact to improve the financial resilience of our community,” said Nicole Tell, BLBB Charitable’s Executive Director. BLBB Charitable, the giving arm of financial advisory firm BLBB Advisors, invests in nonprofits whose creative approach and sound strategies yield meaningful and measurable outcomes for the people they serve.
