In response to data about the rise of hunger and food insecurity in Philadelphia, Philanthropy Network's Food Funders Affinity Group is holding a series of meetings to discuss what we can collectively do to reverse this trend.
The fund will award a total of $8.5 million in grants to organizations managing funds explicitly devoted to providing COVID-19 relief to communities of color, low-income populations, and others being disproportionately impacted by the crisis.
This immediate deployment of resources represents more than 25 percent of the foundation's endowment to area nonprofits and immigrant & worker relief funds.
